she is 72 years old and swims every day, rain or shine. It must help because she certainly looks sprightly and much younger than 72.

Dungeness fisherman
A wonderful portrait of another fisherman, this time in Dungeness, the furthest south-east tip of the UK.
A wonderful wide angle shot, that really emphasises the massive space out there. I hope he caught something because those clouds look like they're coming fast.
smile
enjoying a joke with a friend, this lovely lady was willing to have her photo taken in Middlesborough.
What was the joke? Will we ever know?
The Paperman
This particular paperman is selling the Bristol Evening Post.
I'm sure he could be seen in just about any town up and down the country though. Love the shirt too.

i can't remember if I blogged this one before... but I lvoe ti so much, I'm blogging it again.
a beauty, the tilt, the eye sharpness, everything, is truly wonderful.
conversation at the market - Cardiff
i had the great pleasure of meeting maciej the other night. check out his stuff, whilst we are mainly about asking people, he doesn't, and yet finds himself in situations where the rest of us wouldn't dare to go.
so he manages to find all the characters there are to find on the streets of Cardiff.
GlastoFaces75
lovely couple, totally self-confident. I mean, if you can walk around in a wolly hat/ turquoise boa, you must be.

Hebrides Islands
sometimes I wish there was a video (or at least audio) tape to go along with the beautiful pictures.
i wonder what this one would say?
Hebrides Islands
About as far away as we've been in 365 Britons, this wonderful photo really gives that sense of the hardship of life in the Far North, but how things still continue as they were as much as possible.
Portrait
local fairs are all the rage these days.
have you ever seen that interesting face in your local area, wandering if you'd ever ge tthe chance to have a chat and find out more? Well Andy was lucky enough to have that happen. There's a few of these gys near me, I'd love to know the story.

Ian Morris Butchers, Heald Green
The final shot from John's terrific set - for now.
They are all shot traditionally on black and white film, and developed by him at home - probably still the cheapest way to take good photos.
This is what he writes about it:
This project was inspired by UK film photography group The Man in the White Suit
It consists of a series of pictures of and about people whose jobs or sports mean that they wear white.
Everyone featured was asked for permission before a portrait was taken - only those who gave permission were photographed.
The portraits are all undirected (i.e. I didn't ask people to pose, just that I be able to take a picture of them in their working environment).
I've been privileged to meet some splendid people in the course of this project, and would like to extend my deepest thanks to everyone who has participated so far.
If you've taken part, and are waiting for your picture to appear, I apologise - it's taken me longer than I expected to get through the films and process them.
If you'd like to take part, and are fairly local to Manchester City Centre or Stockport, I can be contacted via Flickrmail. I can't promise you fame and riches, but I will print a 7x5 for you of every shot I take of you, and won't take up a lot of your time taking the portrait.

I've got a feeling we'll be returning to this se tto see new characters. Great to see the old teaching the young.
Chef, Font Bar, Manchester
Looking pretty fed up with life, a young chef taking a break in Manchester.
working in the kitchen has got to be one of the worst jobs, possibly satisfying but very hard work.

Good to see young guys in traditional shops like these, preserving the traditons, and encouraging local businesses.
Fishmonger, Aberaeron
This week we've got an entire set of Men in white Suits from John.
A great little series of working guys - all food related - from around the North West and Wales.

The end is near...
this pretty much is the iconic shot of Glastonbury 2007. Despite the mud, people still went out and had a good time. or was it drinking to forget?
Glastofaces11
People of all ages attend glastonbury - whilst I felt old I met lots of people out there enjoying it.
I reckon this lady should keep the blue hair permanently, it really suits her.
portrait2
This wee I've blogged a lot of portraits from Glastonbury Festival, which I had the pleasure of attending this year.
Mud, mud., mud, blah blah blah, we've read about that everywhere. It was a great place to meet new people, however no-one tells you how to cope with all the snorers in the tents next to you.
