An Urban Picture of Britain. And a rural one too. Fabulously framed shot.

6:53pm
Another shot from Griff, slightly after the previous one. He definitely has a way wth new people.
6:40pm
Griff spent a day with a fellow photographer wandering round Leeds asking people to take their photo, taking advantage of the good light and good weather.
This lovely intimate shot of an interracial couple is a great representation of our cities today.

Arthur's Arrival/My Grandpa
I had to blog these two together, showing each endof four generationsof a family. Such a perfect capture of various stages of life. This is the best newborn baby photo I've ever seen, wonderful capture of the essence of that first moment of life.
The kid's great-grandpa shows us his personlity too, enjoying life all the way through.
Portobello not Portofino
And in real life, people enjoying Britain as it is. No need for fairs or excuses to enjoy the open air.
Nottingham
Loving the people in funny outfits this week. He better finish that pipe before the smoking ban starts.
Nottingham
More Britons dressed up in strange outfits at country fairs.
Or does she always dress like that?
Vaisakhi
Vaishaki is a Sikh festival - I need to find out what it celebrates (new year maybe?) and I'll link it here.
Anyway if you ever hear loud drums banging and see guys in colourful orange turbans handing out crisps and other food in various places round Britain, you'll know you've come across a Vaishaki parade.
Dorset Fayre
With the start of the summer season, Britain really comes into its own with all kinds of festivals and fayres round the country.
This lady is at a fair in Dorset - or does she wear that outfit every day?

Windsor
In our final look at young people around Britain this week, is this guy in Windsor. I'd really like to be able to write more about who and why but I don't know - maybe someone knows what the uniform is?
friendship
My favourite thing about Britain is diversity, I don't think I'll be able to find a better example than this.
GROUSE
Another way to spend the weekend. I like the way the advert ties it to a place - definitely Scotland.
Back to the Future
Is it now or is it the 80s? Or is it the future? Could be any of them - who knows?
blonde
More classic Britons - but this girl could do with some sunblock. Pink's just not a good look.
